Great video. I have a very rare type of Haemolytic Anaemia called Hexokinase Enzyme deficiency which is very much like Thal . I currently have a very large paraspinal mass which is joined to my T8-T12 vertebrae. I have incredible pain due to nerve involvement. 5 years ago I had radiotherapy and it got rid of it but it has shown reoccurrence . I am fully transfusion dependent for blood hence why I have issues with this phenomena. I’m currently waiting to see a surgeon at the National hospital for neurology and neurosurgery in London to see if it can be respected but they incredibly vascular and I have von willibrands so I bleed easily. It’s a scary time . Your video is the best and most informative that I’ve found. I remember when I went to a smaller county hospital and had a x-Ray and a Ct scan. The dr came in looking quite pale and was about to tell me that I more than likely had a very large malignancy. I saved him the horrible job of telling me that and said it’s EMH . He looked incredibly relieved. The mass was over 15cm at that time . Thanks for the info.

Hello Dr Fishman...... I wanted to get back to your ER abdomen with contrast that you mentioned in the prior video........ I had asked if you would use PO gastrografin 1 to 2 to 3 hours prior to the scan of course with scheduled patients, you can give them contrast in a Best buy 3 hours prior to the scan but in an emergency situation if they can drink but you had said that you didn't give negative contrast if nothing give water water is fine the distance the abdomen you had said in the prior video but my question Dr Fishman is should we give gastrografin when there's a abdomen and pelvis ordered in the ER....

I had / have Panner disease in both elbows. It was diagnosed when I was approximately 14 yrs old. I am now 58 years old and I cannot bend my elbows to touch my shoulder. When I was 50 I had surgery on my right elbow however the surgery was not a success. In my case if I bend my elbow to try to touch my shoulder I can only bend it approximately 85 to 90 degrees and if I try to go past the point the pressure in the elbow joint is so severe that the joint feels like it wants to “explode”.

I currently have had surgery for a HSL. This is interesting.

i have a hard tumor in my left thigh... i think this tumor is 12 or more years now... i have no metastsis but my tumor block my lymph nodes in my left upper thigh and it cause swelling on my left leg and feet... my doctor still reviewing my MRI so they know how to remove it.. i dont know if its a cancer or not but the tumor are very slow to grow and it doesn't hurt not unless i lift heavy objects

Helloy Dr. Fishman, I remember back in the day when I was shooting x-rays, and hanging out with the CT tax we went around early in the morning and gave cocktails which was 50% gastrografin and 50% water. At least 3 hours before the CT exam of the abdomen I remember Ready Cat, it was used as well. As a prep given by the secretary to the patient with an instruction page of when to be NPO before the study which was usually one to four hours preferably 3 hours prior to the CT scan. Are we still using gastrografin mix (cocktail) given to the patient approximately 3 hours before an abdomen scan. Thank you Michael in Los Angeles new CT Tech
